ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for experienced, hands-on Service Managers to manage service and after-sales activities for Plate Heat Exchangers (PHE) and Welded Heat Exchangers. The role covers technical troubleshooting, site execution, customer coordination, team management and service-business development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of customer complaints from initial response through troubleshooting, corrective action and closure.

- Manage installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance and performance evaluation of heat exchangers.
- Visit customer sites to assess operating conditions and identify root causes of performance issues.
- Troubleshoot high pressure drop, low heat transfer, fouling, scaling, leakage, flow issues, gasket failure and component damage.
- Analyse temperature, pressure and flow data and compare actual conditions with design requirements.
- Supervise PHE opening, plate inspection, cleaning, gasket replacement, reassembly and pressure testing, as applicable.
- Supervise welded heat-exchanger inspection, cleaning, flushing, descaling, maintenance and repair activities.
- Plan manpower, tools, instruments, spares and consumables required for site execution.
- Lead and guide service engineers, technicians, helpers and subcontractors at customer sites.
- Coordinate with customers regarding shutdowns, permits, site readiness and service schedules.
- Prepare and review service, inspection, commissioning and technical recommendation reports.
- Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Production, Sales and Commercial teams for technical and service requirements.




- Support service quotations and identify opportunities for spares, refurbishment, AMC and replacement equipment.
- Maintain equipment/service history and ensure timely follow-up of pending technical issues.
- Develop service procedures, checklists and troubleshooting practices based on field experience.
- Ensure secure, timely and quality execution of all service activities.

QUALIFICATION &

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.

- 510 years of relevant experience in heat-exchanger service, maintenance, commissioning or industrial equipment service.
- Strong practical experience with PHE and/or welded heat exchangers; shell & tube experience will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of heat transfer, pressure drop, temperature, pressure and flow.
- Ability to read GA drawings, P&IDs;, datasheets and technical specifications.
- Experience in distillery, brewery, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, sugar, dairy, oil & gas, petrochemical, power or similar process industries preferred.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office/Excel; AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage.

IDEAL CANDIDATE A technically strong and customer-oriented professional who takes ownership of problems, can troubleshoot independently, lead site teams and communicate confidently with customers. The candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel, hands-on site work and time-critical shutdown activities.
