Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer role based in Kolkata.

The Service

Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and commissioning solvent printing machines and related systems at customer locations. Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, carrying out repairs, and providing on-site technical support to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role involves documenting service activities, maintaining service records, and coordinating with internal teams to arrange parts and follow up on complex issues.

Engineer will also interact directly with customers to explain equipment usage, provide basic training, and communicate service timelines and outcomes in a clear and professional manner.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for printing machines and related equipment.
- Candidates should possess maintenance & repair skills, including preventive maintenance and hands-on repair of mechanical and electrical components.
- Candidates should possess field service experience, with the ability to work at customer sites and manage on-site service activities independently.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams, explain technical issues, and provide clear updates.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of CAD/CAM or printing technology will be an advantage.
- Ability to read technical manuals, interpret schematics, and follow safety procedures.
- Willingness to travel within the region for in office service and flexible to work as per customer requirements.
