- Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, seat them, and present menus. [1, 2]

- Order Taking: Answer menu questions, explain daily specials, note dietary or allergy requirements, and input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system or notepad. [1, 2]

- Serving: Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to the tables in a timely, accurate manner. [1, 2]

- Table Maintenance: Check in on guests throughout their meal, transparent empty plates and glasses (pre-bussing), and reset tables for new diners. [1, 2]

- Billing & Payments: Present bills, process cash or credit card payments, and handle change or receipts accurately. [1, 2]

- Safety & Sanitation: Follow all health, hygiene, and local alcohol-serving regulations. [1, 2]

- Shift Duties: Complete opening, side-work, and closing tasks (such as rolling silverware, restocking condiments, and cleaning service stations
