Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Hyderabad or Bangalore, India

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join a large-scale enterprise digital transformation program. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow development, implementation, customization, and integration across multiple ServiceNow modules.

This role requires a technically strong professional who can work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable ServiceNow solutions and drive platform enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules based on business requirements.
- Build and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, Script Includes, and integrations.
- Develop and support ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, Service Portal, and related platform capabilities.
- Create and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations with internal and external systems.
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide technical recommendations aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote development standards.
- Support upgrades, patching activities, platform enhancements,



and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6-7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Solid expertise in ServiceNow platform customization and administration.
- Proven experience with:
- ITSM
- ITOM
- CMDB
- Service Catalog
- Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Flow Designer
- IntegrationHub
- Service Portal
- Strong scripting skills in:
- JavaScript
- Glide APIs
- Business Rules
- Client Scripts
- Script Includes
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party applications using REST and SOAP web services.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Additional ServiceNow certifications in ITSM, ITOM, or related modules will be advantageous.
- Experience working with large enterprise environments and global stakeholders.
- Previous consulting or professional services experience is a plus.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
