Key Responsibilities
- Technical Ownership & Delivery: Own workstreams end-to-end — technical approach, patterns, delivery quality, and timeline. Own commitments to senior stakeholders.
- Complex Engineering: Design and build the highest-consequence pieces — parallel integration orchestration, compliance-grade audit architectures, config-driven framework extensions, data models with regulatory correctness requirements.
- Pattern Setting: Define reusable integration adapters, async strategies, error handling, and component architecture standards. Review critical PRs as final technical checkpoint.
- Team Leadership & Global Coordination: Lead engineers across a globally distributed practice. Own delivery cadence, align priorities across time zones. Responsible for team performance, career development, and technical growth.
- Engineering Unblocking: The escalation layer for the engineering team. Resolve ambiguous integration contracts, governor limit constraints, framework conflicts, cross-cutting concerns.
- Innovation & Governance: Evaluate emerging capabilities and drives innovation. Participate in architecture review forums. Evaluate and select engineering tools for the workstream.
- Code Quality & Standards:
Set the bar - testing strategy, review standards, deployment guardrails. Hold the team accountable.
Mandatory Qualifications
- LWC framework architecture — config-driven component systems, energetic metadata rendering, cross-component state patterns, Custom Metadata as application configuration.
- Apex at platform level — async orchestration, bulkification standards, partial failure handling as team-wide convention. Salesforce security architecture — sharing model design, platform encryption.
- Multi-system integration — adapter patterns, error contracts, retry strategies, graceful degradation. Platform Events, CDC, Named Credentials, External Services.
- Audit-grade data architecture & performance profiling — immutable history, point-in-time snapshots, regulatory-defensible design. Large data volume strategies and archival patterns.
- Has led and scaled distributed Salesforce engineering teams across time zones. Owns delivery commitments to senior stakeholders, defends platform architecture trade-offs.
- Good to Have: TypeScript. Test automation. AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
