Role Description The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of BangDB’s platform and related applications. In this full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, the engineer will collaborate closely with product, development, and DevOps teams, combining in-office collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual and functional testing, validating new features and enhancements, identifying and documenting defects,



and driving root-cause analysis and resolution with engineering teams.

The role also involves contributing to test strategy, improving QA processes and standards, mentoring junior QA team members, and working with automation and performance tools where relevant to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, with experience defining test strategies and quality standards for complex systems.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Test Execution and Manual Testing skills, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Candidates should possess experience in designing and maintaining detailed Test Cases and test documentation, aligned to product requirements and user scenarios.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with database technologies, distributed systems, or data platforms; experience with stream processing, AI/ML-driven applications, or cloud-based architectures is an advantage.

- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC, defect lifecycle management, and experience using common test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Experience with test automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) and performance testing tools is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work in a quick-paced, product-focused environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior team members.
