About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer – Java to design, build, and operate production-grade cloud, data, and AI solutions for an enterprise technology workplace.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who combines strong Java development, AWS, Snowflake, SQL, cloud-native architecture, and modern AI engineering capabilities.

You will work across the complete engineering lifecycle — from solution design and development through deployment, observability, production support, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy, and operate scalable, secure, production-grade solutions using Java, AWS, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and data products across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Design and optimise Snowflake datasets, schemas, and data structures for performance, quality, and scalability.
- Develop cloud-native integrations using AWS services across compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, orchestration, monitoring, and event-driven architectures.
- Apply strong software engineering practices including clean code, modular architecture, APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, Git, observability, and secure development.
- Translate business and technical requirements into practical, scalable engineering solutions.
- Contribute to AI-enabled solutions, including Amazon Bedrock, RAG, agent-based architectures, model evaluation, and AI guardrails.




- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent tools for coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and solution exploration.
- Participate in production operations including troubleshooting, incident resolution, RCA, performance tuning, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, product, business, governance, risk, and security stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Core Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and software engineering principles.
- Strong practical experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL.
- Experience with data modelling, data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise data solutions.
- Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and production support.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale systems and sensitive/confidential data.

AI & Up-to-date Engineering Experience with some or all of the following will be highly valuable:

- Amazon Bedrock
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Agentic / multi-agent AI architectures
- LLM application development
- Model evaluation and AI guardrails
- Responsible AI
- GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools
- AI-assisted / harness engineering concepts





Preferred Background Experience in financial services, regulated environments, enterprise technology, data platforms, or other highly governed environments will be an advantage.

AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Data Engineer, or AWS Machine Learning Engineer are also a plus.
