Role Overview

GlobalGuard is building an emerging AI security and governance platform for organisations adopting modern AI technologies.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build the central platform and user experience through which organisations manage, monitor and operate these security capabilities. This is not a front-end-only role. You will design backend services, APIs, data models and enterprise workflows as well as deliver high-quality user experiences.

As an early engineer on the product, you will work closely with the Principal Engineer, taking significant ownership of the platform from data and service design through to the customer-facing application.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement secure, scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build the central management platform for an enterprise AI-security product.
- Design data models for organisations, users, assets, policies, events and security configuration.
- Build authentication, authorisation and enterprise identity capabilities.
- Develop administration, policy-management and configuration workflows.
- Build systems for ingesting, processing, storing and presenting security telemetry.
- Develop investigation, audit, approval and operational workflows.
- Build intuitive interfaces that allow security and IT teams to understand complex information quickly.
- Design and implement dashboards, asset views, search, filtering and reporting capabilities.
- Build secure integrations with enterprise systems and external security platforms.
- Design multi-tenant services with strong isolation and security boundaries.
- Contribute to event-processing, notification and integration architectures.




- Participate in architecture, threat modelling, automated testing, troubleshooting and production operation.
- Continuously improve performance, usability, reliability and maintainability.

- Establish solid patterns for authentication, authorisation, tenant isolation and auditability.
- Build effective development, testing, deployment and operational practices.
- Take ownership of features from data model and API through to production user experience.
- Become the primary technical owner of the product's central application and management experience.

Experience and Qualifications

- Extensive commercial software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- Strong backend development experience and a solid understanding of distributed application architecture.




- Strong experience with modern web development frameworks and TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystems.
- Experience designing production APIs and service interfaces.
- Strong relational database and data-modelling experience.
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation and enterprise identity patterns.
- Experience building event-driven or asynchronous processing systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containers and modern deployment environments.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production operations.
- Strong understanding of secure web and API development.
- Ability to design usable interfaces for complex technical or security workflows.
- Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar technologies and turn requirements into well-designed production software.
- Practical understanding of modern AI applications and agentic architectures.

The Type of Person Who Will Succeed

You should enjoy owning a broad technical problem rather than working only within a narrowly defined front-end or backend function. You will be comfortable moving between architecture, data modelling, APIs, security, user experience and production operations.

The product is evolving quickly, so you should be able to take incomplete requirements, understand the underlying customer problem, propose a sensible design and deliver a robust solution without waiting for every detail to be specified.

You will take responsibility for the quality of the finished product, not simply the completion of individual tickets.
