Title: Senior Engineer Backend & Security Data Infrastructure

Job Summary

We are seeking a high-caliber Staff Engineer to join our fast-paced Product Security (ProdSec) team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing critical security data pipelines and analytics dashboards. Our team relies on ingesting massive datasets across multiple security vectors, aggregating them within Google BigQuery, and serving real-time analytics to maintain visibility into our security posture.

The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering expertise, practical hands-on proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and an innovative mindset to leverage GenAI models (e.g., Gemini, Claude) for data support. You will focus on operational excellence, solution maintenance, and continuous platform enhancements in a rapid-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Backend Maintenance & Enhancements: Maintain and optimize existing backend services, microservices, and API layers powering ProdSec dashboards; implement feature enhancements as required.
- Data Pipeline Support: Monitor, refactor, and maintain BigQuery data pipelines and complex SQL queries to ensure performance, data freshness, and accurate security reporting.
- System Reliability & Bug Fixing: Troubleshoot pipeline anomalies,



optimize existing database queries, and resolve technical debt to maintain platform stability.
- Collaborative Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams (security analysts, frontend developers, and product managers) to deliver prioritized enhancements and operational fixes.

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements

- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in backend development, systems maintenance, and distributed systems.
- Scripting & Languages: Hands-on proficiency in Python; familiarity or exposure to Golang is highly desirable.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Solid hands-on proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and infrastructure.
- BigQuery & SQL Mastery: Proven expertise in Google BigQuery, data modeling, query performance tuning, and writing complex, optimized SQL queries for large datasets.
- GenAI Exposure: Practical exposure to interacting with modern LLMs/AI models (e.g., Gemini, Anthropic Claude).
- Soft Skills: Proactive problem-solver with a strong collaborative mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving technical requirements.
