Role Description The Senior Admissions Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for guiding prospective students and working professionals through their education and admissions journey. This role includes conducting one-on-one counselling sessions, understanding individual academic backgrounds and career goals, and recommending suitable UG, PG, online, and distance learning programs. The counselor will manage inquiries, follow up with leads, explain program features and admission processes, and support applicants from initial contact through enrollment.

They will collaborate with internal teams and university partners to ensure accurate information, timely documentation,



and a smooth onboarding experience for students. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, meeting counselling and conversion targets, and contributing feedback to improve counselling processes and student experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Interpersonal Communication and Communication skills to counsel diverse student and professional profiles effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to provide responsive, empathetic, and reliable support throughout the admission process.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to convert inquiries into enrollments through ethical, consultative guidance aligned with learner needs.
- Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge, such as familiarity with UG/PG programs, online and distance learning options, and career pathways.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Previous experience (typically 3+ years) in admissions counselling, education consulting, or student advisory roles, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet defined counselling and conversion targets.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, proficiency with CRM or admissions management tools, and comfort with MS Office or similar software.
- High level of integrity, student-centric mindset, and commitment to unbiased, transparent guidance.
