Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a manufacturing and heavy machinery company. The candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting, GST, taxation, accounts payable and receivable, inventory accounting, vendor reconciliation, and financial reporting. Experience in manufacturing or heavy machinery industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, cash book, and bank book.
- Prepare trial balance, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Handle monthly and yearly closing activities.

2. GST & Taxation

- Handle GST calculations, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing and filing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
- Verify purchase and sales invoices for GST compliance.
- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for statutory compliance.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

- Manage vendor payments, supplier accounts, and customer outstanding balances.
- Perform vendor and customer ledger reconciliation.
- Monitor payment schedules and follow up on overdue receivables.
- Verify purchase invoices, sales bills, debit notes, and credit notes.

4. Manufacturing & Heavy Machinery Accounting

- Maintain purchase and sales records for machinery,



spare parts, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Handle inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Track material purchases, production-related expenses, and job-work costs.
- Maintain records of machinery, plant, equipment, and fixed assets.
- Assist in calculating production costs, material costs, and overhead expenses.
- Verify supplier bills, transport charges, freight expenses, and material receipts.

5. Banking & Financial Reporting

- Perform bank reconciliation and cash-flow monitoring.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and outstanding payment reports.
- Monitor expenses and support budgetary control.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and financial reviews.

Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and taxation.
- Practical experience with Tally Prime, BUSY, or ERP accounting software.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience in inventory accounting, vendor reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Knowledge of e-way bills, e-invoicing, and manufacturing-related accounting.
- Ability to prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy machinery.
- Ability to independently manage the complete accounting cycle.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with accounting procedures.
- Candidates with experience in industrial machinery, engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing companies will be preferred.
