Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a technically robust, commercially oriented professional capable of bridging the gap between customer requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and profitable pricing. The candidate must be proactive, customer-focused, analytical, and experienced in managing global accounts in a precision manufacturing environment.

Needs/Responsibilities

A. Sales and Business Development

- Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with global customers.
- Handle customer enquiries, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and technical and commercial discussions.
- Prepare and submit quotations, negotiate prices, and finalise commercial terms.
- Identify current markets and customers in aerospace, defence, automotive, medical equipment, and precision engineering sectors.
- Achieve sales targets and improve business profitability.

B. Technical Evaluation and Drawing Review
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Identify critical manufacturing processes, machining requirements, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Evaluate raw material specifications, availability, and cost implications.
- Assess manufacturing feasibility and identify potential technical challenges before submitting quotations.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate technical evaluation.

C. Costing and Pricing
- Analyse the cost of manufacturing components, including raw materials, machining, tooling, labour, inspection, and other applicable costs.




- Provide technical inputs and guidance to the costing department for accurate cost estimation.
- Estimate machining cycle times, material consumption, tool costs, and process requirements.
- Prepare competitive pricing proposals and ensure appropriate profit margins.
- Review and validate cost sheets before submission to customers.

D. CNC/VMC Machining Knowledge
- Possess a sound understanding of CNC and VMC machine operations and machining processes.
- Understand CNC programming, machining sequences, tooling selection, and cycle-time estimation.
- Identify the most suitable manufacturing processes for different components.
- Advise the costing and production teams on process optimisation and cost reduction.
- Evaluate machining feasibility based on component geometry, material, tolerances, and production volumes.

E. Tooling and Outsourcing
- Identify and coordinate outsourcing requirements for tools, fixtures, jigs, dies, and other manufacturing aids.
- Evaluate external vendors for technical capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of tooling and outsourced processes.

F. Customer and Internal Coordination
- Act as the primary commercial and technical interface for customers during enquiry and quotation stages.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, production, quality, procurement, and finance teams.
- Support customer visits, technical meetings, contract negotiations, and recent product development.
- Monitor customer feedback and ensure timely responses to enquiries and commercial issues.
