Role Overview :

We are looking for a Data Engineer with hands-on Azure Synapse Analytics experience to design, build and optimize data pipelines and warehouse solutions for client analytics and BI projects. You will work closely with BI developers, analysts and client stakeholders in a delivery-focused, remote-friendly team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated and serverless SQL pools, Synapse Pipelines, Spark pools).
- Develop data models and warehouse structures to support BI and reporting.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, e-commerce, flat files, APIs) into the Azure data platform.




- Tune and optimize queries, pipelines and Spark jobs for performance and cost.
- Ensure data quality, reliability and security across pipelines.
- Translate client requirements into scalable data solutions and communicate progress clearly.

Required Skills :

- Solid hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proficiency in T-SQL and Python / PySpark.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2 and Azure DevOps / Git.
- Performance optimization expertise: query tuning, distribution and partitioning strategies, clustered columnstore indexing, statistics management, workload management, and Spark job and pipeline optimization.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, SCD, incremental loads).
- Good communication skills and comfort working in a client-facing delivery environment.

Good to Have :

- Power BI exposure.
- Microsoft certification (DP-203 or DP-600).
- Experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
