Role Description The Research Intern role at DriveOnix is a remote position based in Gujarat. The intern will support ongoing research in vehicle intelligence, computer vision, and connected automotive systems by assisting with literature reviews, data collection, and experimental design. Day-to-day tasks include helping build and test prototypes, analysing results from simulations and real-world experiments, and documenting findings in clear reports and presentations.

The intern will collaborate with engineers and researchers on small project modules, contribute to debugging and improving algorithms,



and assist in preparing technical materials and internal documentation. This role offers hands-on experience in early-stage automotive technology research and exposure to AI, embedded systems, and communication technologies in mobility.

Qualifications

- Foundation in relevant technical domains, such as computer science, electrical/electronics engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of programming and software development (for example, Python, C/C++, or similar languages) and familiarity with version control tools.
- Interest or coursework in AI, machine learning, computer vision, or data analysis, with the ability to understand and work with basic models or algorithms.
- Understanding of embedded systems, sensors, or real-time communication concepts, and willingness to learn automotive and V2V/V2X technologies.
- Solid research skills, including literature review, critical thinking, experimental design support, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a lab or engineering environment, manage time effectively, and take initiative on assigned research tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enrolment in or recent completion of a bachelor’s or master’s program in a relevant discipline; prior project or internship experience in technology or research is a plus.
