Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled R&D; Manager with strong knowledge of herbal and Ayurvedic product formulation, product development, research, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative formulations, managing R&D; activities, ensuring product quality and stability, and supporting the development of the Ayurvedic product portfolio for domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Herbal Formulation Development: Develop and improve herbal and Ayurvedic formulations for various dosage forms, including Bolus, Tablets, Creams, Ointments, Gels, Powders, and Oral Liquids.
- R&D; Setup & Management: Establish, manage, and maintain R&D; facilities, laboratory operations, and related activities.
- Raw Material Evaluation: Prepare raw material sample indents, coordinate sample procurement, and conduct or supervise raw material analysis.
- Regulatory & Documentation: Handle documentation related to licensing, statutory requirements, Ayurvedic product approvals, and R&D; audits.
- Product Development: Develop and improve Ayurvedic formulations in compliance with applicable Indian and international regulatory requirements.
- Research & Stability Studies: Conduct product feasibility studies, research activities, and stability studies before commercial product launches.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:



Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and other teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
- Product Specifications: Develop and maintain product specifications, formulation records, and technical documentation to ensure consistent product quality, safety, and efficacy.
- Innovation & Improvement: Identify opportunities for new product development, formulation optimization, and improvement of existing products.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a relevant field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Herbal, Ayurvedic, or Pharmaceutical R&D.;
- Solid knowledge of herbal ingredients, formulations, and dosage forms.
- Practical experience in R&D; laboratory operations and formulation development.
- Knowledge of Ayurvedic product licensing, regulatory documentation, and statutory compliance.
- Understanding of stability studies, product specifications, and quality requirements.
- Good analytical, research, documentation, and team management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in Ayurvedic or herbal product manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on experience in developing multiple dosage forms.
- Ability to independently manage R&D; projects from formulation development to commercialization.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements for domestic and export markets.
