Research and develop new LED luminaires, outdoor bollards, linear lights, and architectural fixtures.
- Optical &
- Thermal Analysis:
Evaluate light distributions, beam angles, color temperatures (typically ranging from 2500K to 6000K), and heat-sink thermal management for solid-state lighting
- Electrical &
- Driver Integration:
Design or test low-power electronic drivers, dimming controls, and smart-lighting protocols.
- Prototyping &
- Testing:
Build mock-ups, run reliability stress tests, and verify compliance with photometric and industrial lighting standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with architectural consultants, site execution teams,
and manufacturing vendors to transition concepts from lab proofs to commercial product lines.
Typical Requirements &
- Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design.
- Experience: Generally 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in the lighting or hardware manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks), photometric analysis software, LED driver schematics, and thermal simulation.
