Position: Mechanical Quality Engineer

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. – Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 2–5 Years Project: Shakkar Pench Link Combined Project (SPLCP)

Project Type: Irrigation / Pressurised MS Pipeline Project Project

Client: Adani Water Limited

Location: Project sites within approximately 100 km radius surrounding Hard Dam, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor QA/QC activities for MS pipeline fabrication, welding, laying and installation works.

Conduct inspections of pipe fit-up, alignment, welding, joints, bends, fittings and other mechanical works.

Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, ITP, FQP, Method Statements and project requirements.

Prepare and maintain RFI, inspection checklists, welding records, test reports, QA/QC documentation and DPR.

Coordinate with Client, Consultant, Welding Team, NDT Team and Site Engineers for inspections and approvals.

Verify WPS, PQR, Welder Qualification/WQT and welding consumables before commencement of welding.

Monitor welding activities including fit-up, preheating, interpass temperature, welding parameters and visual inspection.

Coordinate and review NDT activities including UT, RT, DPT and MPT, as applicable.

Verify NDT reports and maintain proper weld-joint traceability/weld mapping.

Monitor hydrostatic pressure testing and maintain all related quality records.

Inspect surface preparation, coating and DFT of pipeline joints, where applicable.





Verify calibration certificates of measuring and testing equipment.

Identify quality issues/NCRs and coordinate for corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain complete material traceability, inspection records and quality documentation.

Mandatory Skills

Advanced MS Excel

MS PowerPoint

NDT Level II certification in UT/RT/DPT/MPT

Good knowledge of MS Pipe fabrication and welding

Strong knowledge of Welding Inspection

Knowledge of NDT – UT, RT, DPT and MPT

Knowledge of WPS, PQR and Welder Qualification/WQT

Knowledge of surveying, levelling and pipeline alignment checks

Ability to read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings

Knowledge of ITP, FQP, Method Statements and RFI

Knowledge of relevant IS/ASME/API codes and project specifications

Robust QA/QC documentation and reporting skills

Preferred / Added Advantage

Experience in large-diameter MS pipeline projects

Experience in irrigation/water transmission pipeline projects

CSWIP/AWS or equivalent Welding Inspector certification

Experience in hydrostatic pressure testing

Experience in coating inspection and DFT measurement

Experience in weld mapping and weld traceability

Experience in preparing/reviewing NDT reports

Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Experience in handling NCR, CAR and punch-list closure

Knowledge of Power BI / digital QA/QC reporting will be an added advantage

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
