We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of experience in manual testing and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our software products through rigorous manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test strategies based on project requirements.
- Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies using a bug tracking system.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure quality throughout the development process.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues to provide detailed and accurate bug reports with clear steps to reproduce.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve the overall quality of the product.
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
- Proven expertise in the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or equivalent).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced team workplace.
- Experience with testing mobile, web, and desktop applications is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation is a plus.
