We are looking for an experienced data quality professional to lead data testing and validation activities for P&C; insurance software solutions. The role involves validating data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reconciliation across systems; testing ETL/ELT pipelines; and collaborating with development and data engineering teams to investigate and resolve data quality issues.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement data testing strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data in P&C; insurance software solutions.
- Perform comprehensive data validation to identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues across systems.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and scenarios covering data completeness, correctness, consistency, and reconciliation.
- Execute manual and automated data testing in line with defined QA standards.
- Analyze source-to-target mappings and perform end-to-end source-system data verification.
- Validate data transformations, aggregations, calculations,



and business rules within ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Identify data anomalies and lead root-cause analysis with developers and data engineers.
- Participate in data migration and reconciliation testing across legacy and contemporary data platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated data validation scripts and frameworks using SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Implement automated data quality checks to detect issues early and improve testing efficiency.
- Test ETL processes to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading across pipeline stages.
- Validate downstream reports developed using Power BI or Cognos.
- Perform regression testing to ensure data changes do not impact existing workflows.
- Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to track and resolve defects.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, governance guidelines, and testing best practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, focused on data testing and data validation.
- Good understanding of P&C; insurance concepts, data models, workflows, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries for data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of data testing principles and both manual and automated testing.
- Hands-on experience developing data testing scripts using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience testing ETL/ELT processes, including extraction, transformation logic, and loading validation.
- Familiarity with data quality and data engineering platforms such as Informatica.
- Experience testing data pipelines, tables, and transformations in Snowflake,



including schema validation and data reconciliation.
- Experience validating BI/reporting layers using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Cognos, or similar.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Rally, Jira, Azure DevOps, or HP ALM.
- Strong understanding of regression testing.
- Prior experience leading a team of Data QA Engineers in Agile environments, including onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Strong ownership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in the P&C; insurance domain, including Policy, Claims, and Billing.

Good To Have

- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, ICP, SnowPro Core, or Agile certifications.
