This is a permanent role with a valued client of SPG Consulting Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with strong experience in building scalable backend applications using Python, Django, and FastAPI. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and cloud-based data processing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django and FastAPI.
- Work with Azure Databricks for data processing, analytics, and pipeline development.
- Integrate applications with databases and third-party services.
- Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and data engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Deploy applications in Azure cloud environments.
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Django framework.
- Experience building APIs using FastAPI.
- Valuable exposure to Azure Databricks.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Understanding of Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in data engineering or big data projects.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in handling large-scale distributed systems.
