We are seeking an experienced professional with a solid background in aerospace and defense procurement. The ideal candidate will manage critical supplier relationships, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and ensure compliance with stringent industry quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
- Manage and optimize the procurement process.
- Monitor and analyze purchasing budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor PO status, chase suppliers for lead-time adherence, manage expediting for critical items, and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Authorize payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives, manage safety stock, and optimize inventory levels.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: B.Tech in Electronics & Communication.
- Total Experience: 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement department, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
- Technical Systems: Hands-on experience using ERP, SAP, or similar platforms for procurement activities.
