Role & responsibilities :

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects - cement, steel, MEP materials, finishing materials, etc.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors / suppliers with best price, quality & delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and payment terms to achieve cost optimization.
- Prepare purchase orders, track material deliveries, and ensure timely availability at sites.
- Coordinate with Project, Planning, Stores, Accounts & Site teams for material requirement planning.
- Maintain stock levels, avoid over-purchasing and minimize wastage.
- Conduct market research and maintain price database for all construction materials.
- Ensure quality compliance and handle vendor billing & reconciliation with Accounts.
- Prepare MIS reports on purchases, cost savings, and vendor performance.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 Years of experience as Purchase Manager / Assistant Manager - Purchase in Real Estate / Construction industry is MANDATORY.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and market rates in Chennai.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP / Tally, and purchase documentation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Must be based in Chennai and available for immediate joining preferred.
