Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee purchasing activities, vendor management, procurement planning, and cost optimization. The candidate should have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of procurement processes, and the ability to maintain effective supplier relationships while ensuring timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and operations teams.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Coordinate with finance, accounts, stores,



and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit periodic procurement reports to management.
- Handle supplier disputes, delivery delays, and quality-related issues.

Required Skills
- Solid negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and purchase documentation.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- MBA in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in purchase, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Experience in supplier sourcing, price negotiation, purchase planning, and inventory control.
- Industry-specific procurement experience will be preferred.
