Proposal Engineer

Position: Proposal Engineer

Location: Ghaziabad

Experience: 05 Years

Qualification: B.E./B. Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation or related engineering field

1. Key Responsibilities

- Study customer RFQs, specifications, tender documents, P&ID;, drawings and scope of work. Doing engineering calculations, BOM preparation and costing
- Understand customer application and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Select suitable PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, MCCs, I/O systems, networking equipment, instrumentation and other automation components.
- Prepare system architecture, IO lists, technical datasheets and compliance statements where required.
- Identify deviations, exclusions, assumptions and technical limitations in the proposal.
- Prepare project BOM, costing based on BOM, engineering, panel manufacturing, software, installation, commissioning and other project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate prices from suppliers, OEMs and principal companies.
- Calculate project margins and prepare final quotation for management approval.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions and clarification meetings.
- Respond to customer technical queries and prepare clarification documents.




- Support sales team during negotiations and commercial discussions.
- Visit customer sites when required for understanding applications and preparing proposals.

- Timely submission of proposals.
- Accuracy of BOM and costing.
- Effective coordination with sales, engineering, vendors and principals.
