Role & responsibilities

- Review proposal documents and project specifications to implement into system design.

- Maintain robust communication with clients, vendors and other project disciplines, and management to ensure project requirements are met.

- Create and revise required project documentation and submit to customer and Kobelco's departments per agreed document schedule.

- Responsible for sizing equipment (pumps, control valves, regulators, piping etc.) to meet project design conditions, customer specifications, and Kobelco standards.

- Creates purchasing requisitions and submits by utilizing specified ERP system to meet the project manufacturing schedule and budget.

- Provide technical support to Field Service during system pre-commissioning and commissioning as well as trouble shooting for projects.

- Ability to understand the project requirements and technical specifications.

- Problem solving skill with minimum support.

- Knowledge of API 614, 618, and other relevant industrial codes and standards.

- Ability to develop and implement cost saving measures without compromising product quality.

- Knowledge of reciprocating compressor operational requirements and Hazop study.

- Ability to independently take initiative, adjust priorities and willingly place increased effort to ensure positive results.

- Ability to develop and implement continuous improvement strategy.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fields

- Masters / Advanced degree is a preferred.

- More than 5 years work experience in an engineering environment is a must.

- Experience in Compressor manufactures, EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) environment preferably in carbon neutral, oil and gas industry, petrochemical, power generation, gas/air separation.

- Experience with applications in reciprocating compressors or other compressors (Screw or Centrifugal type).

- Proficient in Auto desk Auto CAD, & Microsoft Office.
