Role Description As a Principal Software Engineer at PYAAS, you will lead the technical design, development, and evolution of the core platforms that power milk traceability, order management, and logistics. You will architect scalable back-end systems, define coding standards, review critical code, and guide the implementation of robust APIs and services that support the PYAAS app and partner integrations.
You will collaborate closely with product, operations, and data teams to translate business needs into reliable, secure,
and performant software solutions. You will mentor and support other engineers, drive best practices in software engineering and architecture, and participate in strategic technology decisions. This is a full time hybrid role based in Noida, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, system design, and distributed systems.
- Advanced skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade, high-availability applications.
- Expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, and performance optimization.
- Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and patterns, and experience applying them in large, complex codebases.
- Proven experience in technical leadership roles (e.g., Principal/Lead Engineer), including mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards.
- Hands-on experience with modern development stacks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, or similar), relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of security, reliability, scalability, and observability in distributed systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Noida, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
