Job Summary

Lead the end-to-end press tool development, and troubleshooting of progressive press tools and multi-stage stamping dies from concept to production sign-off. Ensure tool designs deliver optimal material utilization, precise component tolerances, and high-volume manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Tool Concept & Design: Independently develop progressive die concepts, tooling stages, and processing sequences based on customer component drawings.
- Strip Layout & Calculations: Create efficient strip layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap. Perform crucial calculations for press tonnage, cutting/forming forces, and punch-and-die clearances.
- 3D/2D CAD Modeling: Generate detailed 3D tool assemblies, individual component detailing, and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or UG NX.
- DFM & Feasibility: Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) reviews during early project or RFQ stages.




- Tool-Room Coordination: Work closely with toolmakers and machinists during tool fabrication, ensuring proper selection of tool steels, standard parts, and heat treatment processes.
- Tool Trials & Troubleshooting: Lead physical tool tryouts on presses, diagnose root causes for issues like burrs, misfeeds, or dimensional variations, and implement corrective actions.
- Productivity & Life Improvement: Optimize existing tools for continuous improvement, cycle time reduction, and extended tool life.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma Tool & Die Making
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in progressive press tool development.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
