Job Location: Various Project Sites Across Kerala

POWERTECH SYSTEMS, Thiruvananthapuram, a well-established Fire Protection Engineering and Contracting Firm with over 35 years of experience in the design, installation, testing and commissioning of Fire Fighting and Fire Protection Systems, invites applications from highly skilled and experienced PIPE FITTERS & PIPE FABRICATORS for our ongoing and upcoming projects across Kerala.

We are looking for technically competent candidates with proven experience in MS/GI pipeline fabrication, pipe fitting, alignment, erection and installation, preferably with a background in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Industrial Piping, MEP or Fire Fighting System installations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in pipe fitting, fabrication or industrial piping installation.
- Previous experience in Oil Field, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Industrial Piping or Fire Fighting System installations will be given preference.
- Strong practical knowledge of MS and GI piping systems, fittings, flanges, valves, supports and accessories.
- Ability to read and interpret piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, sectional drawings and fabrication sketches.
- Experience in fabrication and installation of fire hydrant, sprinkler, wet riser, pump room and associated pressurised piping networks.
- Proficiency in pipe measurement, marking, cutting, threading, grooving, bevelling, fit-up and alignment.
- Knowledge of welded, threaded, grooved and flanged pipe connections.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with welders, helpers, site supervisors and engineers.
- Familiarity with industrial piping installation standards, workmanship requirements and site safety procedures.




- ITI / technical trade qualifications will be an added advantage. Candidates with substantial practical experience may also apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out fabrication, fitting, erection and installation of MS/GI piping networks for Fire Fighting and Fire Protection Systems.
- Interpret approved piping layout drawings, isometric drawings and site measurements for accurate execution.
- Perform pipe cutting, threading, grooving, bevelling, marking and preparation of pipe joints.
- Undertake accurate pipe fit-up, alignment, levelling and positioning before welding or mechanical jointing.
- Fabricate pipe spools, elbows, offsets, branches, reducers, manifolds and other piping assemblies as required.
- Install fire hydrant pipelines, sprinkler piping networks, wet risers, pump room piping, valves, flanges and associated accessories.
- Carry out the fabrication and installation of pipe supports, clamps, brackets, hangers and other supporting arrangements.
- Ensure correct positioning, slope, alignment, spacing and elevation of pipelines as per approved drawings.
- Coordinate with welders to achieve proper joint preparation, root gaps and accurate positioning of pipes before welding.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC and other MEP teams to avoid service clashes and ensure proper routing of pipelines.
- Assist with hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, leak rectification and commissioning-related activities.
- Ensure minimum material wastage through accurate measurements, cutting plans and proper handling of pipes and fittings.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship,

TECHNICAL SKILLS EXPECTED Candidates should possess practical expertise in:
- MS & GI Pipe Fitting and Fabrication
- Industrial Pipeline Installation and Erection
- Fire Hydrant and Sprinkler Piping Systems
- Pipe Cutting, Threading, Grooving and Bevelling
- Pipe Spool Fabrication and Fit-Up
- Flange Alignment and Valve Installation
- Reading Piping Drawings and Isometrics
- Pipe Supports, Hangers and Bracket Fabrication
- Pump Room Header and Manifold Fabrication
- Pipe Levelling, Alignment and Dimensional Checking
- Preparation of Weld Joints for 5G / 6G Pipe Welding
- Hydrostatic Testing and Leak Rectification

SELECTION PROCESS Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo a practical trade skill test to assess their ability in pipe measurement, fabrication, fit-up, alignment, drawing interpretation and overall workmanship.

Candidates with proven experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or Industrial Piping Projects will be given additional preference.

Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
