A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics with 10 to 15 years of experience is a senior educator and subject-matter expert. Job PurposeTo lead the Mathematics department in delivering high-quality education to senior secondary students (Grades 11 and 12).

The candidate will design rigorous academic strategies, mentor junior faculty, and prepare students for both board examinations and national/international competitive entrance exams.

Key Responsibilities Academic Delivery & Pedagogy

- Advanced Instruction: Deliver engaging, concept-driven lectures in advanced mathematics topics including Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Probability, and Algebra.
- Competitive Exam Prep: Train students for rigorous entrance exams (such as JEE Main/Advanced, SAT, or regional engineering exams) by teaching advanced problem-solving techniques and shortcuts.
- Curriculum Design: Develop and update the annual pedagogical plans, question banks, and specialized test series in alignment with the required board (CBSE, ISC, IB, or Cambridge).
- Remedial & Enrichment Action: Identify learning gaps in struggling students to provide targeted support, while simultaneously designing enrichment programs for high achievers.

Leadership & Departmental Management
- Faculty Mentorship:



Guide and mentor junior and TGT mathematics teachers on effective teaching methodologies and classroom management.
- Academic Auditing: Review departmental lesson plans, evaluate question papers, and ensure uniform grading standards across sections.
- Lab & Resource Management: Oversee the Mathematics Lab, integrating hands-on activities, mathematical models, and software (like GeoGebra) to make abstract concepts tangible.

Administrative & Institutional Contribution
- Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze student performance trends in terminal and mock exams to implement corrective academic strategies.
- Board Coordination: Serve as an external examiner, head examiner, or coordinator for board evaluations as required.
- Co-curricular Oversight: Organize mathematics olympiads, inter-school competitions, quizzes, and STEM-related events.

Required Qualifications & Skill Education
- Postgraduate Degree: Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized university.
- Skilled Degree: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent teaching certification is mandatory.
- Desirable: M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field.

Experience
- Total Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of teaching experience in a reputed Senior Secondary School.
- Target Grades: At least 5+ years of continuous experience teaching Grades 11 and 12.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated history of producing excellent board results (merit holders/100% pass rates) and coaching students into premier engineering or degree colleges.
