Hiring | Partner – General Corporate (M&A; / PE / VC)

A reputed law firm is looking to strengthen and expand its General Corporate practice by onboarding an experienced Partner with a strong background in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A;), Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC).

Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and advise on complex M&A;, private equity and venture capital transactions, including domestic and cross-border deals.
- Structure, negotiate and execute transaction documents, including Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), Shareholders’ Agreements (SHAs) and investment agreements.
- Advise clients on corporate restructuring, investments, joint ventures and strategic transactions.
- Manage key client relationships and provide strategic legal and transactional advice.
- Drive business development initiatives, build new client relationships and expand the firm's corporate practice.
- Lead and mentor the legal team while ensuring high-quality client service and effective transaction management.





Key Requirements

- Extensive experience in General Corporate, M&A;, PE and VC transactions.
- Strong expertise in transaction structuring, due diligence, negotiations and deal execution.
- Established client relationships and a proven track record in business development.
- Portable client book in the range of ₹1–3 crore, with the ability to generate and grow business for the firm.
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen and client relationship management skills.
