Role Summary

Were looking for a Node.js Developer with strong experience building, maintaining, and supporting backend applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with MongoDB and SQL databases, develops reliable APIs, and works effectively with product, frontend, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and applications using Node.js.
- Build and integrate REST APIs and, where applicable, GraphQL APIs.
- Develop database schemas, queries, indexes, and migrations for MongoDB and SQL databases.
- Optimize application and database performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Identify and resolve bugs, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Contribute to technical documentation and follow development standards.
- Support application deployment and monitoring in development, test, and production environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4–13 years of skilled software development experience.




- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript; TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Experience building backend applications and APIs.
- Practical experience with MongoDB and at least one SQL database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and transactions.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming, error handling, and common Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and API testing tools.
- Understanding of application security and performance best practices.
- Good communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and container-based deployments.
- Experience with message queues, caching systems, or microservices.
- Exposure to logging, monitoring, and production support.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.

- Backend features and APIs are delivered reliably and on schedule.
- Code is maintainable, well-tested, and aligned with team standards.
- Database queries and application services meet performance needs.
- Production issues are investigated and resolved effectively.
- Technical documentation is clear and kept up to date.
