Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years in Modern Trade Sales

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Modern Trade Salesman for a growing FMCG brand. The candidate should have strong relationships with up-to-date trade account managers and hands-on experience in handling large retail chains, driving secondary sales, ensuring visibility, and executing trade plans effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle and manage Modern Trade outlets and key retail chains.
- Develop and expand Modern Trade business across Karnataka.
- Create and onboard new accounts with leading retail chains and regional supermarkets.
- Ensure availability of products across stores with proper stock rotation.
- Drive primary and secondary sales targets.
- Execute promotions, visibility activities, merchandising, and in-store branding.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Coordinate with distributors and internal sales teams for smooth supply and execution.




- Ensure planogram implementation and shelf visibility.
- Track sales performance and submit regular reports.
- Negotiate for additional displays, gondola placements, and promotional opportunities.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Modern Trade sales in FMCG.
- Strong network and excellent connect with Modern Trade Account Managers.
- Experience handling chains like DMart, Reliance, More, Metro, Lulu, Spar, Star Bazaar, etc.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth independently.
- Good understanding of merchandising, promotions, and retail operations.
- Willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in snacks, packaged foods, beverages, or FMCG categories preferred.
- Self-driven and highly aggressive in execution.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
