Roles and responsibilities

- Manage MEP consultants and review their designs from concept to valuable-for-construction (GFC) stage.

- Check design calculations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting systems.

- Coordinate MEP with architecture, structure and faade, and resolve clashes through BIM.

- Ensure compliance with NBC 2016, DCPR 2034, and fire and electrical safety norms.

- Prepare MEP inputs for fire NOC, electricity load sanction, and municipal water and drainage approvals.

- Drive value engineering, and review MEP BOQs, specifications and vendor bids.

- Resolve site queries, approve shop drawings, and support testing, commissioning and handover.

- Lead and mentor the in-house MEP design team.

Desired candidate profile

- MEP design experience with a developer or MEP consultant, including 4+ years on high-rise residential or commercial towers.

- Working knowledge of all MEP services, with deep expertise in at least one.

- Hands-on with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Navisworks.

- Experience with Mumbai fire and utility approvals.

- Redevelopment, SRA or green building experience is a plus.
