Job Title – MEP Design Engineer

Location – Pune

We are looking for an experienced MEP Design Engineer to join our Design & Development team and drive MEP design coordination across our projects. The role will be responsible for coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design activities, reviewing drawings and technical submissions, managing external design consultants, and ensuring seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural designs. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, sound design review capabilities, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external consultants to deliver efficient, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities-

- Coordinate MEP design activities across residential, commercial, and other real estate development projects, ensuring timely completion of design deliverables.
- Manage and coordinate with external MEP design consultants for the preparation, review, and submission of drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Review MEP layouts, drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and standards.




- Coordinate with architectural, structural, planning, and project execution teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP services and resolve design clashes.
- Oversee the coordination of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, water supply, and other building services, as applicable to project requirements.
- Identify design gaps, technical discrepancies, and potential coordination issues, ensuring timely resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate design proposals and recommend efficient, practical, and cost-effective MEP solutions without compromising safety, functionality, or quality.
- Monitor design schedules, track consultant deliverables, and ensure timely closure of comments, revisions, and approvals.
- Support design development by considering constructability, maintainability, statutory requirements, and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical inputs to project teams during execution and assist in resolving site-related queries arising from design discrepancies.

Must-Have Skills-

- Experience working with a real estate developer or design consultancy handling residential and commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and building services design coordination.
- Experience in reviewing MEP drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and design submissions.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and water supply systems.
- Experience coordinating with external MEP consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.




- Sound knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and relevant MEP standards.
- Ability to identify and resolve design clashes and technical coordination issues.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and ensure adherence to design timelines.

Preferred Skills-

- Experience in residential high-rise, commercial, township, or large-scale real estate developments.
- Familiarity with MEP design and coordination software, BIM workflows, and clash detection tools.
- Understanding of construction methodologies, installation requirements, and site execution challenges.
- Exposure to energy-efficient building systems, value engineering, and optimization of MEP services.

Educational Background -

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE-approved and/or UGC-recognized institution.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications in building services or MEP design will be an added advantage.
