Role Description The MEP BIM Modeler will create and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring coordination and clash-free designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, updating models based on design changes, and supporting design teams with accurate MEP layouts and documentation. The role involves close collaboration with engineers and project managers to meet project specifications, standards, and deadlines, as well as preparing construction-ready drawings and schedules.

The MEP BIM Modeler will also assist in resolving coordination issues, maintaining model integrity,



and contributing to continuous improvement of modeling workflows and templates. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Madurai.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in MEP BIM modeling tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and familiarity with 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design principles, codes, and construction practices relevant to building projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&ID; diagrams, and project specifications, and translate them into accurate BIM models.
- Experience with model coordination, clash detection, and collaboration in multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Attention to detail, robust problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain organized documentation and project files.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers on-site.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline; relevant BIM certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in MEP BIM modeling for construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects is preferred but not mandatory for promising candidates.
