Role Description The Medical Coding Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role oversees daily medical coding operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements. The supervisor reviews coded records, audits documentation, and provides guidance and feedback to the coding team to improve quality and productivity.

Responsibilities include managing denials related to coding, coordinating with clinical and billing teams to resolve issues, and implementing process improvements to reduce errors and rework. The role also involves training and mentoring coders, monitoring performance metrics,



and supporting the development of standardized coding practices aligned with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Strong medical coding expertise, including Medical Coding and Medical Terminology, with a proven track record of accuracy and compliance.
- specialties Surgery Cardiology and Denials and appeals.
- Background in Health Information Management and related processes, with the ability to interpret clinical documentation and apply coding standards.
- Experience managing and resolving Denials, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
- Relevant certification such as RHIT or equivalent credential in health information or coding is highly desirable.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a medical coding setting, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Knowledge of payer requirements, coding guidelines (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS), and healthcare regulatory standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with coding software, EHR systems, and basic office productivity tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health Information Management, allied health, or a related field preferred.
