Role Description The Medical Coding Trainer will design and deliver training programs on medical coding concepts, guidelines, and best practices for learners and internal teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing curriculum and training materials, conducting classroom sessions, workshops, and practical exercises, and assessing learner performance through tests, assignments, and feedback. The trainer will stay current with coding standards, regulatory updates, and industry practices, and incorporate these changes into training content.





The role also involves collaborating with management to improve training effectiveness and supporting learners with mentoring and clarification of complex coding scenarios. This is a part-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area.

Qualifications

- Coding Experience and Medical Coding skills with a robust understanding of coding guidelines and standards.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately interpret clinical documentation and support effective training.
- Background in Health Information Management and familiarity with documentation, records, and compliance processes.
- Relevant certification such as RHIT or equivalent qualification in health information or medical coding.
- Experience delivering training, workshops, or classroom instruction, preferably in medical coding or healthcare.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to accuracy in coding and documentation.
- Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Allied Health, Nursing, or a related healthcare field is an advantage.
