Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter for our ethanol manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, troubleshooting, breakdown maintenance, and ensuring smooth plant operations with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Handle maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, pipelines, and related plant machinery.
- Carry out equipment alignment, fitting, dismantling, assembly, and replacement of mechanical components.
- Support maintenance activities for distillery and ethanol plant equipment.
- Identify mechanical faults and troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical equipment.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report abnormalities to the maintenance supervisor.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
- Follow plant safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain maintenance records and coordinate with the production and maintenance teams.





Required Qualifications & Experience
- ITI in Fitter / Mechanical Trade is preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Candidates with experience in ethanol manufacturing units and distilleries will be given first preference.
- Practical knowledge of industrial machinery, pumps, valves, pipelines, and mechanical fitting activities.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and perform maintenance independently.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and attend breakdown maintenance as required.

Required Skills Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fitting skills.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices

Ability to read basic mechanical drawings

Understanding of industrial safety standards.

Teamwork, discipline, and a hands-on approach to plant maintenance.

Compensation

₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month CTC, depending on relevant experience and technical competency.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working in ethanol plants, grain-based distilleries, or similar process industries with hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance will be preferred.
