Job Title: Mechanical Engineer I

Location: Coimbatore

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Design and Development of mechanical components and systems.
- Analysis of mechanical designs, including structural and thermal performance.
- Collaborate with engineers on multi-disciplinary projects, providing input and support in design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Technical documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Participate in the assembly, testing, and evaluation of prototypes and product designs.
- Conduct research on new technologies and materials relevant to ongoing projects.
- Assist with failure analysis and contribute to design improvements.
- Work with team members to ensure all designs meet required safety and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
- Participates in conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment.
- Knowledge of machining, welding, sheet-metal fabrication processes




- Create ECO and co-ordinate with internal personnel to ensure smooth implementation.
- May develop and execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficiently to understand and validate the performance of the design
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during the manufacturing, build and testing process.

Requirements & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with relevant experience of 2-4 years.
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Proficient in CAD software for design and simulation purposes.
- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in the semiconductor industry.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical components.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- BOM management and product life cycle management including ECR / ECO process.
- Positive at American standard practices like ASME Y14.5 (GD&T;), AWS A2.4 etc
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
- Ability to think out-of-box.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Ability to manage projects, Team player, collaboration, integrity, Respective others and Innovation
- Regarded as a technical expert in their field.
- Proficient in the use of SolidWorks PDM or other design platforms
