· Develop machine concepts and mechanical layouts based on customer URS, process flow, cycle-time requirements, component handling requirements and available machine envelope.

· Design and detail welding fixtures, checking fixtures and assembly fixtures including base plates, locating systems, pin locators, clamps, supports, nests, change parts, poka-yoke features and pneumatic/hydraulic actuation.

· Design robotic welding and assembly work cells, including fixture arrangements, robot access considerations, operator access, safety clearances, component loading/unloading and maintenance accessibility.

· Design Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) covering mechanisms such as indexing units, rotary tables, cam mechanisms, pick-and-place systems, slides, lifting units, transfer mechanisms, clamping systems, pressing stations and automatic loading/unloading systems.

· Design conveyor and material-handling systems including belt, roller, slat, chain and pallet conveyors; determine conveyor pitch, speed, payload, drive arrangement, roller/chain selection, structural support and station interfaces.

Prepare complete 3D CAD assemblies and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge / CATIA, including GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, fits, surface-finish requirements, welding symbols, material specifications and fabrication details

· Carry out mechanical engineering calculations for load, torque, power, speed, belt/chain pull, shaft sizing, bearing selection, actuator force, structural strength, deflection and safety factors.

· Select and integrate standard mechanical and automation components such as bearings, linear guides, ball screws, gearboxes,



motors, couplings, pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders, sensors, clamps and commercially available actuators.

· Develop pneumatic and hydraulic mechanical interfaces, cylinder mounting arrangements, flow/force requirements and service accessibility in coordination with the controls team.

· Apply Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Design for Maintenance principles to optimize machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, adjustment and servicing.

Prepare detailed BOMs, part lists,· bought-out component lists and manufacturing documentation with proper revision and drawing-number control.

· Coordinate with fabrication, machining, assembly, electrical/controls and commissioning teams to resolve design issues and ensure the machine is built as per approved design.

Support machine trials, FAT/SAT, dry-cycle and production trials; identify mechanical issues, implement corrective actions and release updated as-built drawing

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
