Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in building services and MEP engineering projects. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical system design, HVAC calculations, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial, residential, industrial, and other building projects.
- Perform HVAC heat load calculations and equipment selection.
- Prepare HVAC duct layouts, piping layouts, ventilation designs, and equipment arrangements.
- Carry out duct sizing, chilled water piping calculations, and ventilation calculations.
- Work on HVAC systems such as Chilled Water, VRF/VRV, DX, and ventilation systems, as applicable to the project.
- Prepare mechanical design drawings, technical documentation, schedules, and specifications.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP for design development and drawing preparation.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural, and Architectural teams.
- Review drawings and resolve design discrepancies and coordination issues.




- Ensure designs comply with project requirements and relevant standards, including ASHRAE and SMACNA, where applicable.
- Coordinate with BIM Modellers and BIM Coordinators to ensure accurate design implementation.
- Support project teams in design reviews, revisions, and timely project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant experience in Mechanical Design, HVAC Design, or MEP Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building mechanical services.
- Experience in heat load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, and ventilation design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks is an advantage.
- Familiarity with HAP or TRACE 3D Plus for HVAC load calculations is preferred.
- Understanding of applicable HVAC design standards and building services coordination.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in MEP consulting firms, engineering design companies, or building services consultancies.
- Exposure to commercial buildings, residential developments, hospitals, hotels, or industrial projects.
- Experience working on international projects or GCC projects is an advantage.
