Job Objective

- Actively contribute to developing & maintaining effective Risk management function in the Organization.




- Promote an effective risk awareness culture throughout the Organization.

- Lead the activity of closely monitoring, analysis and reporting of Operational risks KRIs which may include Claims, Fraud, incidents, attrition, grievance etc. Value addition by deep dive analysis of operational KRIs and reporting of the insights to respective risk owners.
- Lead the activity of threshold setting / revision for material operational risks.
- Lead Incident management – Conduct thorough RCA, monitoring & reporting of the reported incidents to RMC. Continuous monitoring of corrective and preventive measures till implementation.
- Lead Risk Control Self-Assessment of functions, prepare overall summary and conduct control testing of risk controls
- Prepare & publish Zonal Governance report, discuss with departments and provide inputs for improvements, analyse trends and identify focus areas.
- Lead Vendor Risk Assessment activity for material vendors.
- Review & identification of parameters related to Material & Emerging Risk - basis web references for inclusion, modification and preparing reports.
- Lead Business Continuity management activities including:

- Review and updation of BCM policy and plans
- Review of Business Impact Analysis of functions of functions on assigning priority for Business Continuity Plan
- Conduct BCM / DR drills
- Facilitate BCM steering committee and reporting on all of the above to the same.




- Support the reporting manager in enhancing the quality of discussions risk-based decision for key committees like Risk Management Committee, BCM Steering Committee, etc.
- Lead automation to improve team efficiency
- Sharing experience and providing necessary assistance to team members on operational process managed
- Managing audit requirements for departmental internal audits, management audtis, statutory audits, etc.
- Managing group risk reporting
- Enhance risk culture and awareness by various initiatives including trainings for risk management and BCM.
- Team management

Key Deliverables

- Preparation of reports for RMCB
- Review of Policy, SOP, Plans, Risk appetite, etc.
- Conducting RCSA, Incident Management fact findings, Material and Vendor Risk Assessments
- Business Continuity Management
- Zonal Governance report preparation & analysis – includes KRI monitoring
- Be part of the team & contribute to Projects (departmental or cross-functional) undertaken by the team in any aspect of business.
- Audit and internal control management for the department
- Risk awareness across the organization.
- Team management
- Attending trainings designed for enhancing skills and knowledge.

Candidate Specifications / Competencies in terms of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Academics required to successfully perform the job:

- General knowledge on life insurance and pension
- Should possess excellent communication, collaboration skills with ability to work in a matrix workplace across functional lines as a team player.
- Communicate effectively & comfortably in writing and verbally with internal & external stakeholders.
- Soft skills like excel, word and ppt proficiency is a must. Expertise in excel macros, Visual Basics for Application (VBA) is preferable. Additional coding skills like R, Python etc. shall be added advantage.

Relevant Experience Required 6-10 years of overall experience with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Risk Management in BFSI sector.
