The Corelation

Delhi

About The Corelation The Corelation is a boutique talent search firm specialising in mid-to-senior management and senior leadership hiring across industries and functional domains. Our approach is built on tri-axial fitment - a deep alignment between the candidate's profile, the role, and the hiring team. By weighing technical capability and cultural fit with equal rigour, we find professionals who don't just fit in, but outperform.

About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a growing, professionally managed services organisation in Delhi (client name confidential at this stage), for a Manager – Finance & Accounts based in Delhi.

The role reports directly to the Head of Finance and leads a small in-house team across accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and compliance. It is a genuine ownership role for a Chartered Accountant who wants to run the full accounting and compliance function rather than one slice of it, with a five-day working week and direct exposure to management.

Reporting To: Head of Finance

Location: Delhi (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Experience: 3–6 years post-qualification experience

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Compensation: ₹10–12 LPA

Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred (maximum 15 days)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead the accounting and compliance function. The role owns accurate and timely monthly closings, end-to-end statutory compliance, GST reconciliations, audit coordination and departmental representation, while managing and mentoring a multi-function finance team. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in accounting and Indian tax laws with people-management and process-improvement skills.

This is a working role rather than a review-only one. You will be in the books yourself as well as directing the team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Manage the team to ensure accurate books of accounts in line with applicable accounting standards and tax laws, and timely monthly closings.
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations, general ledger maintenance and reconciliations (bank,

vendor, customer, inter-company and balance sheet accounts).
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals, prepaid and fixed asset entries before closing.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.

Statutory Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS/TCS, assessments, PF, ESI, ROC and applicable labour laws.
- Manage end-to-end GST reconciliations (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B vs GSTR-2B / books) and resolve mismatches efficiently on a monthly basis.
- Oversee TDS computation, deduction, deposit, return filing and reconciliation with Form 26AS / AIS and TRACES.
- Compute advance tax and support income tax return filing, tax audit and transfer pricing or other applicable compliances.
- Prepare replies to Income Tax and GST notices and represent the company before tax authorities and at departmental levels.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and assess their impact on the company.

Team Management

- Manage, train and mentor the team working across finance functions such as AP, AR, banking and compliance.
- Allocate work, set deadlines and monitor performance; conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to the month-end closing calendar and compliance due dates.

Audit & Controls

- Work closely with auditors for statutory, internal and tax audits, ensuring timely provision of schedules, documents and clarifications.
- Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls, SOPs and documentation, and close audit observations.
- Ensure proper maintenance of records and supporting documents for audit and assessment purposes.

Process Improvement & Other Duties

- Drive automation and process improvements in accounting,

reconciliation and reporting workflows.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (business, HR, legal, operations) for finance-related requirements.
- Handle ad-hoc assignments and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
- 3–6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, taxation and compliance.
- At least 1–2 years of reviewing or supervising the work of junior accountants or executives.
- Hands-on experience across end-to-end finance operations, in a company or CA firm workplace.
- Strong working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, GST and accounting principles / Indian Accounting Standards.
- Working knowledge of PF, ESI, ROC and labour law compliances.
- Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements and other advanced formulas).
- Comfortable with accounting software such as Zoho Books or Tally, and with the GST, TRACES and MCA portals.

Behavioural Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management; ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
- Leadership and people-management skills; ability to mentor and motivate juniors.
- High integrity, ownership and the ability to work independently.

Good to Have

- Experience in representing before GST / Income Tax authorities and handling assessments and appeals.
- Exposure to ERP or automation tools, Excel macros, Google Sheets / Apps Script or MIS dashboards.
- Experience in a service, media or fast-growing business environment.

Compensation The budgeted range for this role is ₹10–12 LPA. We are being upfront about this so that your time and ours is well spent — please apply only if this range works for you.

How to Apply

Apply through LinkedIn with your updated CV, along with your current CTC and expected CTC. Applications without these details may not be processed. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by The Corelation for an initial conversation.
