Company: Mahatta Media Solutions

Location: Delhi (Work From Office)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 5+ Years

Domain: Localization

About the Role

Mahatta Media Solutions is looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager – eLearning Localization & Production to manage end-to-end localization projects for corporate clients, particularly eLearning companies, digital learning providers, and corporate training organizations.

The candidate must be capable of independently understanding client requirements, translating them into actionable project plans, coordinating production teams, monitoring delivery, handling client escalations, and ensuring successful project completion within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

A strong understanding of Articulate Storyline course localization and production workflows is essential. The candidate should know how eLearning courses are localized, integrated, tested, and delivered, and should be able to guide the team, identify production issues, and ensure that the final localized courses meet client expectations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Client Requirement Analysis

- Understand and analyze client briefs, source files, project scope, language requirements, deliverables, technical specifications, and deadlines.
- Interact directly with clients to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and establish project expectations.
- Assess project complexity, identify dependencies and risks, and determine the resources and timelines required.
- Convert client requirements into clear instructions, workflows, production plans, and deliverables for internal teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communication and delivery commitments.

2. Project Planning & Delivery Management

- Create detailed project delivery plans covering milestones, resource allocation, production schedules, quality checks, client reviews, and final delivery.
- Manage projects end to end, from receipt of source content and project initiation through localization, integration, testing, and final handover.
- Monitor daily progress against the delivery plan and proactively address delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
- Coordinate translators, reviewers, voice-over artists, multimedia teams, eLearning developers, and quality assurance teams.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining agreed quality standards and project budgets.
- Maintain project trackers, status reports, risk logs, and regular client updates.

3. Articulate Storyline Course Localization – Essential

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the complete Articulate Storyline course localization workflow.
- Understand the extraction, translation, review, reintegration, and testing of course text and multimedia assets.
- Coordinate localization of slide text, buttons, menus, interactions, quizzes, feedback, variables, captions, audio, and other course elements.
- Understand the implications of text expansion, font rendering, layout changes, right-to-left languages where applicable, and language-specific formatting.

- Coordinate localized audio recording or AI voice-over, audio integration, subtitle synchronization, and multimedia replacement.
- Understand publishing and delivery requirements, including SCORM packages and LMS compatibility.
- Coordinate functional testing, linguistic QA, navigation checks, audio checks, and regression testing of localized courses.
- Identify common Storyline localization issues, troubleshoot production bottlenecks, and work with developers to resolve technical problems.
- Ensure that localized courses retain the functionality, instructional intent, visual consistency, and technical integrity of the source course.
- Where required, review source projects, published outputs, and client feedback to identify and resolve localization defects.

4. Client Communication & Escalation Management

- Independently handle client calls, project review meetings, delivery discussions, and escalation calls.
- Take ownership of project-related issues and provide clear action plans, realistic timelines, and regular progress updates.
- Investigate delays, quality concerns, technical issues, and delivery gaps, coordinating corrective action with relevant teams.
- Communicate risks proactively instead of waiting for clients to escalate issues.
- Manage client expectations professionally and ensure concerns are resolved within agreed timelines.
- Maintain client confidence through accountability, responsiveness, and consistent delivery.

5. Production Team & Vendor Coordination

- Assign tasks and responsibilities based on project requirements, resource availability, language combinations, and technical complexity.
- Provide explicit production instructions, deadlines, and quality expectations to the team.
- Monitor individual and team productivity and ensure accountability for assigned deliverables.
- Coordinate external vendors, freelance linguists, voice-over artists, and eLearning development partners as required.
- Identify resource gaps and arrange suitable alternatives to avoid delivery delays.
- Review completed work, track pending activities, and ensure that all deliverables pass the required quality checks.

6. Quality Assurance & Risk Management

- Establish quality checkpoints throughout the localization and production lifecycle.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, correct formatting, functional course navigation, audio synchronization, and compliance with client specifications.
- Review QA findings, client feedback, and defects, and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify project risks and dependencies early and implement mitigation plans.
- Maintain version control, project documentation, checklists, and delivery records.

7. Tools, Technology & Process Improvement

- Work with Articulate Storyline and Rise workflows, CAT tools, translation management systems, project trackers, and QA tools.
- Understand localization file formats, translation handoffs, multimedia asset management, and integration workflows.
- Use tools such as Jira, HubSpot, Smartcat, SDL Trados Studio, Xbench, and Excel, where applicable.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve productivity, while ensuring appropriate human review and quality control.
- Develop and improve SOPs, project templates, production checklists, and reporting mechanisms.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, eLearning localization, localization production, or a closely related field.
- Practical knowledge of Articulate Storyline course localization and its end-to-end production workflow.
- Ability to independently understand client requirements and convert them into executable delivery plans.
- Proven experience managing corporate clients and handling client calls, escalations, and delivery commitments.
- Strong understanding of translation, multimedia integration, linguistic QA, functional testing, and final course delivery.
- Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage projects with tight timelines and changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command of Excel, project trackers, documentation, and project reporting.
- Willingness to work full-time from the Delhi office.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working with eLearning companies, corporate learning providers, or digital content development companies.
- Familiarity with Articulate Rise, Camtasia, SCORM, LMS requirements, voice-over, subtitling, and multimedia localization.
- Experience managing multilingual projects across multiple languages.
- Familiarity with AI-based translation, voice-over, and localization workflows.

Key Performance Indicators

- On-time delivery against the approved project plan.
- Client satisfaction and effective resolution of escalations.
- Quality and functional integrity of localized Storyline courses.
- Reduction in rework, defects, and avoidable production delays.
- Effective resource utilization and adherence to project budgets.
- Accuracy of project tracking, communication, and reporting.

Ideal Candidate We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager who can take complete ownership of a project rather than simply coordinate tasks. The candidate should understand what the client expects, know how the localization production process works, guide the team technically and operationally, anticipate risks, handle difficult client conversations, and ensure the final localized course is delivered correctly and on time.

Candidates with only general translation coordination experience, without a practical understanding of eLearning course localization and production, may not be suitable for this role.
