Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lead or Manager Physical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru South. The role involves leading physical design activities for complex semiconductor devices, including floorplanning, place-and-route, clock tree synthesis, timing closure, and power optimization. The individual will coordinate design reviews, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with front-end design, verification, and test engineering teams to ensure successful tape-out.

Responsibilities include analyzing design metrics, driving implementation quality, managing project schedules,



and supporting customer communication on technical and delivery topics. The role also requires adherence to industry best practices and internal quality standards throughout the physical design lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in physical design flows, including floorplanning, place-and-route, clock tree synthesis, and timing closure.
- Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for physical implementation, static timing analysis, power analysis, and DRC/LVS checks.
- Solid understanding of digital design concepts, ASIC/SoC architecture, and semiconductor manufacturing constraints.
- Experience leading or managing engineering teams, with skills in mentoring, task planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related field, with relevant experience in physical design.
- Familiarity with advanced process nodes and low-power design techniques is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working in an on-site, fast-paced workplace and handling multiple projects or deliverables in parallel.
