Lead – Demand Relationships ( Business Development )
The senior relationship owner who brings India's promoters, developers and contractors onto the platform and builds a cluster from the ground up.
LOCATION Delhi - NCR (HQ)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE - Full-time
EXPERIENCE 4 – 8 years
Demand Relationships: a senior demand-side professional who comes with their own book of business or network of buyers suited to what we do, and can bring it onto the platform. This is not a transactional sales role — you will start from scratch as an individual contributor, earn the trust of promoters, developers and contractors in a traditionally offline, relationship-driven trade, and make company their default way to source. As the business scales, this role grows into the Regional Cluster Demand / Growth Lead.
It is a digital platform that enables end-to-end sourcing and management of raw materials for the construction industry. We connect buyers — builders, contractors, developers and project teams — with a vetted network of suppliers and manufacturers, and we manage the entire journey: discovery, pricing, ordering, financing, logistics and delivery, all in one place.
Construction is one of the largest sectors of the economy, yet it still runs on phone calls, paper challans, opaque pricing and fragmented, unreliable supply chains. That fragmentation is exactly the opportunity. Our mission is straightforward to say and hard to do: to corporatise, catalyse and cleanse the construction sector — and to bring joy back to building.
Our Mission Corporatise Process, data & professionalism Catalyse Faster, fairer digital adoption Cleanse Transparency & trust.
Why This Role Is Different
•Build the market, not maintain it. you will bring promoters, developers, contractors and project teams onto a platform that doesn't yet have the trust and habit an offline trade has built over decades — starting from scratch, with your own network as the launchpad.
•Ownership from day one. you will start as an individual contributor, owning your own accounts end to end — activation, order growth and repeat usage — with real, measurable targets.
•Two-sided commercial fluency. you will understand how a contractor buys, what drives their sourcing decisions, and how to read BOQs, quotations and margins well enough to negotiate credibly.
•The face of the company to promoters. you will represent company directly in front of promoters, founders and MDs of developer and contracting firms, and lead commercial conversations at that level.
•Present where the real work happens. sites, project offices and contractor hangouts are your workplace as much as any office — you close the gap between the offline reality and the digital platform.
•Direct access to founders and senior leaders. you will work directly alongside the people setting the company's direction.
•A defined roadmap to leadership. this role is designed to grow into the Regional Cluster Demand / Growth Lead — owning the region's buyer base, growth and team as we scale.
What You Will Actually Do
•Buyer acquisition & activation — bringing your existing buyer network onto the platform, and identifying, meeting and onboarding new developers, promoters, contractors, PMCs, architects, interior firms and institutional buyers; getting them to place their first order, and beyond.
•Relationship ownership — becoming the trusted point of contact who understands a buyer's sourcing needs and consistently solves for them.
•Promoter-level engagement — representing the company directly with promoters and senior decision-makers, and leading negotiations and account reviews at that level.
•Demand growth — driving repeat usage, larger basket sizes and cross-category buying across Structural, MEP, Interiors, Sanitary and Finishing, so the platform becomes a buyer's default way to source materials.
•Commercial fluency — understanding BOQs, quotations and margins well enough to negotiate credibly and advise buyers with confidence.
•Data & process discipline — capturing what happens on the ground into clean data and repeatable playbooks that let the business scale.
•On-ground presence — being physically present at sites, project offices and wherever buyers are, to build and protect the relationship.
•Cluster building — mapping the market in your cluster from scratch, prioritising anchor accounts, and laying the foundations — playbook, pipeline and processes — for the regional team you will go on to lead.
Who We Are Looking For
•Your own book of business — must have. an existing book or active network of buyers suited to what company does — developers, promoters, contractors, PMCs,
architects, interior firms or institutional buyers — that you can bring with you.
•Executive presence — must have. the gravitas and credibility to represent the company directly in front of promoters and senior decision-makers.
•Engineering background — mandatory. A B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
•Mechanical, Mining or Metallurgical Engineering — a strong plus. given the materials, plant and industry context this role operates in, though we welcome all engineering disciplines.
•Demand-side experience in Structural, MEP, Interiors, Sanitary or Finishing — a strong plus. multi-category exposure on the buying side of construction materials is especially valuable.
•High ownership and integrity. you treat the numbers and relationships in your charter as your own, and you do the right thing even when no one is watching.
•A genuine go-getter attitude. you create your own leads and opportunities rather than waiting to be assigned a list — you go find the next supplier, the next buyer, the next problem worth solving.
•Comfort operating in ambiguity. there is no fixed playbook here; you're building the process as you go, and that excites you rather than unsettles you.
•Comfortable starting from scratch as an individual contributor. you are happy to do the work yourself today, with the ambition and capability to grow into a regional leadership role.
•An extroverted, relationship-first personality. someone who can walk into a factory, a site office or an unfamiliar building, strike up a conversation with a stranger, and turn it into a working relationship — able to enter the room, get past the gate, and open the door, literally and figuratively.
•Strong communication skills, verbal and written. with the confidence and polish to present to internal leadership and external partners alike.
•Working knowledge of MS Office and AI tools. comfortable in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and equally comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude and similar) to work faster and think sharper.
•4–8 years of experience. in demand-side B2B sales, key accounts or business development in construction materials, building products or allied sectors.
Compensation & Engagement Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience A full-time role based in Delhi NCR along with domestic travel 40%, with a defined roadmap to Regional Cluster Demand / Growth Lead as we scale.
