Job Overview
Role summary The Senior Business Systems Analyst carries the analytical execution load of the program. The role works through the detail of the existing learning estate, prepares the analysis that supports rationalisation decisions, and executes the mapping, cleanup and validation activity that follows those decisions. This is a hands-on seat and the volume of detailed work sits here.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the inventory of curricula, learning items, assignments and associated attributes for assigned functional areas.
- Perform detailed analysis to surface duplicates, outdated content, incomplete records, inactive items, dummy entries and administrative accounts.
- Prepare structured analysis packs that allow stakeholders to make migrate, consolidate, archive or retire decisions efficiently.
- Execute data mapping activity between source and target structures, working to the standards agreed for the program.
- Perform and evidence data cleanup and remediation activity ahead of migration.
- Support reconciliation, test execution and user acceptance testing, and capture the associated evidence.
- Maintain trackers, logs, templates and checklists to the standard set by the Lead BSA.
- Prepare recurring status, progress and exception reporting for the assigned functional area.
- Raise data quality concerns, anomalies and emerging risks promptly through the agreed channel.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of business analysis, data analysis or systems analysis experience, including involvement in a system transition or data migration.
- Robust practical data-handling capability — comfortable working at volume with spreadsheets, extracts, structured queries and reporting output.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently through detailed, high-volume analytical work with accuracy and consistency.
- Experience preparing documentation, trackers and templates to a standard suitable for a regulated environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English, and comfort operating with stakeholders in a different time zone.
- Willingness to work a dedicated shift pattern providing overlap with US Eastern business hours.
- Experience working within GxP-regulated environments.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to a learning management system, enterprise HR platform or comparable enterprise application.
- Experience in a regulated industry, ideally life sciences or pharmaceutical.
- Experience supporting testing and validation cycles.
Ways of working
- Works to the direction and priorities set by the assigned Client workstream lead or program owner.
- Maintains transparent, timely status against assigned activities and escalates blockers early rather than at the point of impact.
- Documents decisions, actions and open items so that context is held in the program record and not solely with the individual.
- Cross-trains across adjacent functional areas to provide coverage redundancy within the Milestone team.
Compliance and environment
- Works entirely within Client's systems, tools and environments. No client data is moved to, stored in or processed on external tooling without Client's express written approval.
- Operates within a GxP-regulated environment and follows Client's data privacy, data integrity,
information security and records-retention standards at all times.
- Completes all Client-mandated onboarding, access provisioning and compliance training before commencing project activity.
Participates in Milestone's structured program induction covering program context, stakeholder map, ways of working and tooling
