Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lab Chemist for our ethanol manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, monitoring product quality, analysing raw materials and finished products, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine chemical and quality testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Perform quality analysis of ethanol, ENA, spirit, and other distillery-related products, as applicable.
- Analyse process samples to monitor production parameters and ensure product quality.
- Conduct tests for parameters such as alcohol concentration, pH, acidity, specific gravity, and other relevant quality specifications.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Prepare chemical reagents, standard solutions, and laboratory testing materials.
- Maintain laboratory registers, test reports, analytical records, and quality documentation.
- Ensure timely reporting of test results to the production and quality teams.
- Identify deviations in test results and promptly inform the concerned department for corrective action.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, accuracy, and discipline within the laboratory.
- Support internal quality audits and compliance with applicable laboratory standards.





Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant laboratory experience in chemical, ethanol manufacturing, or distillery industries.
- Candidates with experience in ethanol manufacturing units and distilleries will be given first preference.
- Practical knowledge of chemical analysis, laboratory testing procedures, and quality control.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments, calibration procedures, and analytical documentation.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as per plant requirements.

Required Skills
- Robust analytical and laboratory testing skills.
- Knowledge of chemical testing methods and quality control procedures.
- Ability to accurately record, interpret, and report test results.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and chemical handling.
- Good observation, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Salary & Shift Details
- Salary (CTC): ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and technical skills.
- Shift: Rotational shifts as per plant requirements.
- Work Location: Ethanol Manufacturing Unit / Distillery Plant.
- Experience: 3–5 years, with preference for candidates from ethanol manufacturing units and distilleries.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in laboratory testing and quality control at ethanol plants, grain-based distilleries, or similar process industries will be preferred.
