About the Role

We’re hiring a Junior Link Building Specialist to join our SEO team. You’ll report to our SEO Delivery Lead, who sets the link-building strategy, trains the team and reviews the quality of the work. Your job is to carry out the day-to-day link building: finding opportunities, running outreach and securing quality links and mentions for our clients.

This is an agency role, so you’ll work on several client websites at the same time. Being organised and able to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines is essential.

We’re increasingly building links and mentions that help brands appear in AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews (often called GEO or AEO). You don’t need to be an expert in this yet. We’ll train you, but you should be curious about it and keen to learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Find and qualify link and citation opportunities for client websites using Ahrefs and our quality guidelines.
- Run outreach campaigns to publishers, bloggers and site owners: write personalised pitches, follow up and negotiate placements.
- Secure guest posts, niche edits, directory listings and other placements in line with each client’s link plan.




- Help build client presence on community platforms such as Reddit, Quora and niche forums, following agreed guidelines.
- Keep link-building trackers up to date in Monday.com and our spreadsheets: prospects, outreach status, live links and costs.
- Check that secured links are live, indexed and meet our quality standards.
- Prepare monthly link-building data for client reports.
- Work with the content team on articles for guest posts and promotion.
- Follow our link-building SOPs and suggest improvements as you learn.

Requirements

- Around 1 year of hands-on link building or outreach experience (agency experience is a plus).
- Good understanding of what makes a quality link: relevance, authority, traffic, and spam signals to avoid.
- Experience with at least one SEO tool such as Ahrefs or Semrush.
- Excellent written English for outreach emails and pitches.
- Organised and reliable, able to manage several clients and deadlines at once.
- Comfortable taking feedback and following set processes.
- Comfortable working with international (Western) clients and time zones.

Nice to Have

- Some experience or strong interest in GEO/AEO, and in how brands get cited by AI tools.
- Experience building presence on Reddit or other community platforms.
- An existing list of publisher or blogger contacts.
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, health or ecommerce niches.
