Job Role for Advisory -

This job involved on both domestic and international tax advisory engagements. As part of the work responsibilities, the candidate will need to assist and at times lead assignments in the areas of international taxation, transaction advisory, M&A; taxation, FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) advisory. The role requires sound technical expertise, analytical skills, and ability to manage clients as also junior team member to provide timely and quality inputs / guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.

As part of the Direct tax team, role of the candidate will involve:

- Assist in tax structuring advisory and implementation support on deals including mergers, acquisitions, demergers, share swaps etc;
- Working on cross border and domestic restructuring engagements;
- Assist on domestic, international tax and FEMA advisory engagement on diverse issues;
- Assist in buy-side and /sell-side tax due diligences;




- Analysing FEMA rules and regulations for inbound and outbound investments in structing transactions;

The role will involve multi-tasking assignments and parallelly working with multiple managers. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing firm risk compliance functions (like quality management, engagement letters execution etc) on work projects he / she is involved.

Requirements

- Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 1-7 years of post-qualification experience from a reputed firm in Tax Advisory domain with exposure in M&A; tax, cross border and domestic tax advisory.
- Sound knowledge of domestic Tax Law provisions, Double Tax Avoidance Agreements, FEMA Regulations, etc.
- Working knowledge of Company law, SEBI and Stamp duty provisions
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Sound drafting skill
